Chris Bosh

Chris Bosh (full name Christopher Wesson Bosh) was born on March 24, 1984 in Dallas Texas to Noel and Freida Bosh.

Chris Bosh was raised in Hutchins Texas, and was always family oriented, often playing basketball with his younger brother. His dad would take Chris to the gym where he often played pick up basketball. At the age of four, a very young Chris Bosh learned to dribble the basketball, but it wasn´t until the fourth grade that Chris began learning the game at a playground near his grandmother´s house.

He attended Lincoln High School in Dallas, and was always very academically inclined. While playing for Lincoln High Basketball team, Chris Bosh began to capture the attention of College basketball recruiters. College interest in Chris was hightened when he led his team to the number one ranking team in the country and the USA Today National Championship with a perfect 40–0 season. Chris also went on to lead Lincoln High to a Class 4A state title, raking in 23 points, 17 rebounds and 9 blocks.

Chris Bosh was crowned High School Player of the Year by Basketball America, Powerade Player of the Year in Texas, a First-team all- American by Parade, McDonald´s and Ea Sports. USA Today and SLAM Magazine named him to a Second-team All-American. The Texas Association of Basketball Coaches further annointed Chris Bosh as a First-Team all-state player, and crowned him ´Mr. Basketball´in the state of Texas.

Chris Bosh always showed great dedication in school, be it on the basketball court or academically, and thus made him a highly sought after player by College recruiters from around the country. Florida and Memphis were highly interested in Chris Bosh, however, the young talent opted to attend Georgia Tech. He felt that the guidance of Paul Hewitt, who was the basketball coach at Georgia Tech would most suit his aspirations of one day playing professionally.
